My name is/was/might be: Belynda Gail Joan Chambers (really Hayes) once Nemeth, Bilbrough, then Chambers again. What's in a name? Just call me Crazy.
I grew up in the southern United States, then I was transplanted to the North, Midwest, Australia, and Singapore, and spent extensive time in France. I have a lot of degrees (B.A. Business, Duke Integrative Health Coach, Chopra Ayurvedic Yoga Instructor, Laughter Yoga Instructor, Brain Nutritional Chef) and titles (Miss Teenage Memphis, Mom, Grammy) among others. At 16, I raised record funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. At 46, I worked for children at risk for human trafficking in Thailand with the Daughters Education Programme. An advocate for food nutrition and sustainable agriculture, I serve as a Raleigh City Farm board member. My friends say I'm a crazy creative with a generous heart and a talent for memorable life-giving cuisine. Dubbed Stinky at birth by my squabbling siblings and called darling Punkin by my fighting parents, I was taught that love was laughter and a biscuit after an extreme debate. I am truly blessed with three loving daughters and three grandchildren who call me Crazy Grammy. I have two hometowns, Baltimore, Maryland, and Raleigh, North Carolina, which I share with my rescue wonder dog, Lucy.
I'm always exploring, learning, and sharing. Now that Beauty Queen Blues is launched, I'd like to help you love your one and only unique life more by writing about it—uncovering treasures. My blog each week will have tips for playing with yourself—by writing.
Let's have fun—the crazy loving kind.
Thank you for visiting.
